Important Note: We only need 15 people for this particular cleanup event. But you must “purchase” a ticket (it’s free) so that we can ensure that we have exactly 15 people and not too many and not too few for this project. Please do not get a ticket unless you’re 110% positive you can make it out as it’s hard to have last minute cancellations and drum up replacement volunteers last minute.
Join us on Sunday, March 29th for a kudzu removal cleanup hike with our friends at the Chattooga Conservancy. The Conservancy has been hard at work the last few months trying to get the kudzu under control along the river corridor. We’ll meet at the Wander North Georgia shop at 9:00am, car pool to a spot along the river with our Conservancy friends, and help remove kudzu for about 2 hours. We’ll then head back to Clayton so that you’re back in time for lunch around 12:30-1:00pm. The only thing you need to bring with you is water and a pair of work gloves. All volunteers will receive a free Wander North Georgia short sleeve t-shirt and lots of high fives.
Unfortunately, this particular event is not dog friendly or kid friendly.
