Important Note: We only need 15 people for this particular cleanup event. But you must “purchase” a ticket (it’s free) so that we can ensure that we have exactly 15 people and not too many and not too few for this project. Please do not get a ticket unless you’re 110% positive you can make it out as it’s hard to have last minute cancellations and drum up replacement volunteers last minute.
Join us on Saturday, March 28th, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Currahee Mountain for a graffiti and trash cleanup. We’re partnering with the Currahee Cleanup Projects and the Southeastern Climber’s Coalition to help take off some of the graffiti and to pick up trash at the trailhead and along the trail. We’re bringing a massive batch of Elephant Snot to scrub off the graffiti, trash bags, and trash pick-up sticks. We just need you to bring some energy, a pair of gloves, any sunscreen, snacks and water! We’ll be done by 1:00pm so you can make it back into town for lunch. We’ll meet at 9:00am at the beginning of Currahee Mountain Road in the gravel parking lot with the information kiosk. From there we will carpool to the top of the mountain where we’ll begin our cleanup.
